Build-To-Rent Strategy

Focused on addressing the nation's entry-level housing shortage by providing newly built high-quality, single-family rental homes to a broad array of social and economic participants throughout major metropolitan areas and select secondary markets in the United States.



Leverage Roofstock’s extensive operating partner and homebuilder relationships to access build-to-rent (“BTR”) investment opportunities through a variety of methods, including certificate of occupancy (“CO”) purchases, forward commitments and fundings, recapitalizations, and opportunistic, risk-managed development.

Markets are selected utilizing proprietary data, including Roofstock’s Rental Genome data lake and AI analytics, Neighborhood and Crime Scoring, along with decades of real estate investment experience, and operating partnerships, to identify attractively priced investment opportunities.

Impact Strategy

Focused on addressing the nation's entry-level housing shortage and aging housing stock, investing in home efficiency upgrades targeting decarbonization, electrification, and climate-resiliency, providing high quality rental homes alongside a suite of resident social impact programs.



Markets are selected utilizing proprietary sourcing channels and relationships, Roofstock’s Rental Genome data lake and AI analytics, and technology to acquire, manage, and dispose of SFR properties. SFR investments may be acquired in portfolio acquisitions, phased takedowns or on a one-by-one basis.



Asset-level value-add strategies will incorporate home efficiency and electrification upgrades, where applicable, with a goal of decarbonization, sustainable reduction of repair and maintenance, utility, insurance, and other expenses, creating a positive net impact in the immediate and broader communities.
